A couple of weeks ago we took off on a little road trip and finally got to see the Ark! When Matthew was still in high school is when we first heard about Ken Ham's vision to have a Biblical scale ark built. Matthew had wanted to go for his graduation, but it wasn't even started at that point. He would save his money and whenever he had $100 he would "buy a peg" for the building of the ark.
We stayed in a hotel pretty close to Cincinnati where I grew up. The first night there we ate at Sky Line chili for old times sake. :)
The kids had the hotel pool to themselves!
Drinking their coffee and getting ready to head out to the ark!
It was surreal getting to see it! It was huge!
I was so happy to get to be with him his first time seeing it!
The kids were all excited!
We took quite a few pictures!
We visited the petting zoo! It was too cold for these Georgia people though! The kids think it is funny that I grew up in the north, but I hate cold weather!
The ark was beautiful and just like the Creation Museum..... it didn't disappoint!
I loved how it showed the practicality of how it could have been set up.
Matthew and one of his pegs! :)
Six of my seven!
Such a cool place!
They had a massive gift shop with a coffee bar and candy shop!
This picture shows how massive the ark is when you see how tiny Marc and the kids look!
