Happy Birthday, Myles....

This sweet boy turned 9!

Day off school, got to lay around and watch movies with his little brother, and he got a new football.

Not sure what I was thinking, but most of the family had dental cleanings on his birthday.  Poor kid was like, WHY am I going to the dentist on my birthday! :)

Marc and I took him to dinner by himself that evening and then he got to go pick out a new baseball glove.

Then it was back to the house to have peanut butter pie with the whole gang!

Sweet little Elliott helping celebrate!

I sure do love this kid!

Matthew brought these balloons home for him.

Legos, Braves shirt and cap, Chick fil A gift card, and camping stuff from his siblings!

I think he had a fun day!  Thankful that grandpa got to celebrate with us too!

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:4-6
I love you Myles Truth!

A little trip...

We recently spent a few days in Atlanta with Marc on a business trip.

We didn't do anything super exciting this time but the kids had motivation to get their school work done with this pool waiting on them!

It was a very peaceful place to hang out.

It had fountains all around the hotel.  If I hadn't had kids to watch I would've taken some naps! :)

Malachi thought it was so funny when the hot tub blew his shirt up!  Macheus worked hard to get his to do it but couldn't figure it out.

We had dinner at the CNN center the first night and then walked around Centennial Park.

It looked like rain but thankfully it held out for us.

I couldn't figure out how to put the cute emoji on Baby "L"'s face. I hate marking his face out in pictures that I share!  One day I pray I can introduce him to my online friends!

                                                   My goofy boy...……..

Eating.... that is what they do best! :)

It was a fun few days but...…. there's no place like home!

~Until next time...……….

Happy Birthday, Malachi!

He went to bed an eleven year old...…

and woke up 12!

He requested an omelet and chocolate milk for breakfast.

He got the day off from school and his daddy came home from work early.  We took him out to eat by himself.  That is a big deal in large family! :)

He chose pizza!

Afterwards he got to go pick out a new bike!  I think he had a pretty fun day!  The next day was Friday and we all went to McKenzie and Daniel's house to swim and celebrate with the whole crew!
He requested an ice cream pie.  I fixed an ice cream casserole... because #bigfamily

Malachi has brought much joy to our family.  He is dependable and a very hardworking boy.  He is the "oldest of the youngest" in our family and definitely has some "first born" traits.  I am very thankful that the Lord blessed us with him!

Update on "Baby L"

Baby "L" is now 4 1/2 months old.  We had our first court date two weeks ago.  His birth mom has made no progress.  The panel told us that it would take a miracle for her to get her act together and for us to be patient.  Patience..... so hard when you are falling more and more in love with a tiny human.  Some days I do fine and others I let fear creep in.  I am so thankful that God has brought this tiny boy into our lives and I look forward to seeing what His plans are for his life.
Next court date is September 19th.  We are thankful for all the prayers we can get!

So for now we wait..... and trust that God has it all under control.
