Savannah

Several weeks ago Marc had another work trip in Savannah.  I took the three little boys and tagged along.  We love going to Savannah!

I recently pitched all of their swimwear from last year.  We pulled out their new stuff for this trip. I purposely picked a brighter color this year to make spotting them on the beach easier! :)

Pizza for supper! I sure love these little fellows!

While Marc was in meetings we hung out on River Street our first day.

The ferry boat is always a favorite thing to do.  It was overcast most of the time we were there but it didn't rain on us!

Even going full speed all day they still go strong until the lights go out!

Our second day we took off for the beach.  It was cool and SO windy!

It wasn't much fun..... I think we lasted about thirty minutes. :)

And it was back to the hotel to get warm in the indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi!

 Our third night we went to dinner and then hung on River Street.  They had fun doing the ferry ride with their daddy.

                                           My sweet "not so little" Malachi.

Dinner at the Crystal Beer Parlor.  We have a lot of favorites in Savannah.  This one won't be added to the list.  Poor little Macheus....  his tummy was hurting after his dinner. :(

Malachi took quite a few pictures of me and Marc. :) None of which turned out fabulous.  Haha...

The day we were headed home we stopped at one of the parks in town and let the boys play.

Lots of cool history in Savannah.  We didn't do any tours this time but we did do a lot of walking and looking on our own.

The same playground that McKenzie and Matthew played on many years ago!  We used to take them for little beach trips in the summer.  We always stopped at this park to play so that they would sleep on the way home.  So many sweet memories........

Thankful for another fun trip  I love making memories with these people!

~Until next time......

Spring.....

....is right around the corner!  We had such warm weather in February and now it has gotten cold again. I am so ready for springtime! Surely it won't be long! :)

Mariah recently had to go to festival for piano and she received  SUPERIOR!!!  She added the violin this past fall and I was worried she was going to struggle to keep up with school work and two instruments, but she has been incredibly disciplined!  Proud of this girl!

                                                    She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
                                                    She wore her greenest gown;
                                                    She turned to the south wind
                                                    And curtsied up and down.
                                                    She turned to the sunlight
                                                    And shook her yellow head,
                                                    And whispered to her neighbour:
                                                    "Winter is dead."

Happy Birthday, Madeline!

Madeline Grace is 19!  This past year has been a big one for her.  She graduated from high school and college with her Associates last spring.  She also was hired at a music school teaching piano lessons last fall.

The day of her birthday was a busy one. She had to take her piano students to festival so there wasn't really any partying that day.  The next day we had her favorite! Chocolate cheesecake!  The guys were all outside so she and I enjoyed a piece all by ourselves.  (We did share later!) :)

She started running a few months ago so we got her some new running shoes.  Matthew was so thoughtful this year.... he picked out some jewelry for her.  I love watching my kids give to each other.

Mariah was thoughtful too..... and McKenzie stopped by for a few minutes but we celebrated with her the next weekend.

The older she gets the more McKenzie reminds me of my mother.  She is such a giving and serving person.  She asked if she could host a party at her house for Madeline.

She and Daniel are getting close to being done with their house.  It is looking so good!

Two of Madeline's close friends that she has known since they were little came to celebrate with her. I am so thankful that she has sweet friends.  Several other friends and ladies came too. It was such a fun time with sweet friends!

She got lots of very thoughtful gifts.

McKenzie and Mariah did an amazing job with the food.  All I had to do was buy it and show up!
It really is nice having grown kiddos!

                                                Sweet group of friends!

And...... her latest news!

She has been saving for years and she paid cash for her first car!  When our kids get their license at age 18 we let them drive our truck until they have enough money to pay for a car on their own. I've been proud of all three accomplishing that goal!

I am so thankful for this girl!  She has been nothing but a joy and pleasure to raise. I know the Lord has big plans for her life and I look forward to watching them unfold!

    and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.
