St Simons

Our latest trip was to St. Simons.  We had planned on taking Mariah, Malachi, and our two littlest.  McKenzie mentioned that Daniel was going to be in Florida the same time we were gone.  We worked it out where she and Elliott tagged along with us!  It was so much fun!

Madeline was staying home with Myles (They went on the last trip.) so she said she would keep Elizabeth. Of course, Matthew had to work.  He is going to get to go to the beach with us next week though! It was fun having McKenzie along and it was a little break for her!

St. Simons and Jekyll are two of my favorite spots!

We had stayed at this place a couple of years ago and knew it would be plenty big AND we had our own washer and dryer in our unit!  That is a BIG deal to this mama! :)

Venturing out to the beach.

                                                      I sure love these boys!

I think we must pick old people places to stay because we usually have the pools to ourselves!

Dinner at Iguanas and playtime at the park by the pier.  I love traditions!

Sweet little Elliott!

McKenzie got some sweet pictures of Elliott and Baby "L" on the beach.

McKenzie and I went running and passed some of the cutest houses and this adorable little free "library" in front of the local elementary school.

                                     Isn't this the cutest house!?

Another evening we went to Bennie's Red Barn for dinner.

Marc was having an allergic reaction to something and by this evening it was starting to get bad.

This man always entertains the kids when we go.  He likes to do tricks with toothpicks and he had Macheus mesmerized.

Fun place to go if you are ever in the St. Simons area!

And our last night around midnight I started getting freaked out because his neck and ear started swelling.  I woke him up and drug him to the ER.  He wasn't happy with me...… and they really didn't do anything to help him.  They prescribed a bunch of medicine that we mostly didn't even fill.  Since coming back home I have come to the conclusion that he has poison ivy in his system that isn't ever fully going away.  He's headed to the naturopath soon!

And that ended another fun trip!  Thankful for time making memories with my family!

~Until next time......
