Rodeo time....

 

Every year since we have lived in this area we have gone to the rodeo when it comes to town.  I think there may have been a year or two that I stayed home with a baby, but our family has always gone.

 

 

 It's not necessarily something I love doing, but my kids enjoy it so we go! :)

The boys always dig out their cowboy hats that they have played I all year.  They usually look pretty rough!  Malachi asked for a "real" cowboy hat for Christmas and he has taken good care of it!

 

 

Marc buys tickets for everyone for Valentine's day.  Thankful that Daniel and McKenzie are close by and can go too!  It was fun seeing Elizabeth's reaction to it all. She was munching on a healthy cookie in this picture.:)  I think the little ones just enjoy the snacking the whole time! :)

This performer was pretty amazing!  She stood on top of TWO horses at a time as they raced around the arena.

Happy heart day!

I always love Valentine's day!  It is a cheerful spot in the midst of winter.

 

Myles has been the cutest this year!  He has written tons and tons of Valentine's for everyone in the family!

I read it as... "I love you Ev-uh day! Mom.  Hap-Pay love to you!"  LOL :)

McKenzie brought the babies over and we had lots of sweet fun! 

Madeline made homemade sugar cookies with homemade frosting.  Other than the food dye they were fairly decent!  The kids had fun decorating them!

Sweet little Elizabeth ate maybe the corner off of her cookie. :)

                                                      Elliott's 1st Valentine's Day!

Brownie made in a heart shape stone that belonged to my mom.  It was given to her by her secret prayer person many years ago.

 

We ended the day by slipping out by ourselves!  We had a quiet dinner in the corner of Chipotle!  He doesn't even like it but he knows it's my favorite!

 

The rodeo always comes to our area a week or two after Valentine's day.  We started the tradition many years ago of buying the kids rodeo tickets for their Valentine's treat.  Eliminates "stuff" and how much sugar do they really need?  Now Valentine's day is over but we still have the rodeo to look forward to!

Just another manic Monday....

Mondays are hard to get back into the groove of school.  We also have extra busy Monday's because we have piano out of town and I run errands for my dad on Monday!

 

Doing a little "word building".  This has been a tremendous help with his spelling!

And of course... a little standing on the head helps too!
