Life Happenings

It has been a very busy week. Lots of stuff going on...... some good, some hard. We have been doing the "great closet swap" this week.  The dreaded biannual job that seems like it takes forever!  While doing that I am trying to weed out and organize closets.  Goodwill will be getting a large donation this week. :o)

Myles helping Madeline decorate the "Easter tree".

Myles and his beloved friend "Buddy".  They truly are inseparable.

                                                       Sweet baby Macheus.

One of the things that has kept us so busy this week is that it is "kidding season".   Three of our four pregnant dairy goats had babies within a week of each other.  We had two sets of twins, one single birth, and we are waiting on more this week.  We sold our only male (so far) and will sell off the females that we don't want to add to our herd.  Bottle feeding and milking the mamas keeps the girls hopping this time of year.

McKenzie thought Macheus needed to get to see a baby. :o)

Mariah telling her little goat "goodbye" before he left for his new home.

Being goofy. I was gone one day and came home to about fifty (well, maybe not quite that many) pictures of this rainbow on my camera.

Myles loves to ride when Matthew is cutting grass.  Matthew is always so sweet to let him even though it makes the job more difficult.

                                                         "Buddy"

This is a scene I don't ever want to forget.  It is one that I see every single night and have for years.  The girls go back to do the milking and feeding and all of the animals "talk" and follow them back. :o)  Busy days.........
