Malachi's birthday celebrations!

Malachi didn't have a birthday this year, he had a birth-week! It started when Marc's family came down the week before to celebrate with Malachi and Myles for their birthdays. They brought a big cake and a little smash cake for Myles. I didn't want Myles to eat it, but we let him play in it! They had a big day!

No, Malachi doesn't normally wear pajamas in the middle of the day, but they brought him and Myles matching spiderman pjs for their birthdays and Malachi wanted to wear his. We also don't normally have horses at our kitchen window (well..... sometimes we do!), but the mower has been out of commision and we are relying on three horse power right now!

Later that week we went to my mom and dad's house. We made good use of the trip and got some cleaning done for my mom, visited with cousins and celebrated Malachi's birthday with them. He asked me for weeks before his birthday for a lemon cake for his birthday. I have a great lemon pound cake recipe that does really well with whole wheat. The kids got to swim and we had cake with homemade ice cream!

Clayton and Carrington gave him this sword and he and Clayton played out in the front yard. He thinks Clayton is really cool! :>)

I love the energy and expressions of little boys!

Notice the contrast of these two pictures... Girls are so much quieter! (Well, sometimes anyway!)

He slept with his sword!

On his actual birthday we were at the beach! Those pictures will have to wait for another day! McKenzie and I took a total of 500 pictures!!!
Until next time!

Great pictures! Especially love the one with the horse looking in the window! Not many folks can post a picture like that:0)
